Objectives:
ESR14 will contribute a behavioural perspective to the project, analysing both behavioural aspects of MP inputs into freshwater systems as well as ways to reduce this, and then systematically piloting selected behaviour change interventions. ESR14 will first review existing behaviour change approaches to identify the most promising interventions in the context of urban point sources and river inputs. Based on this and following expert input from all LimnoPlast collaborators, ESR14 will design novel interventions based on psychological and behavioural principles including core factors such as motivations, values, mental models. The most promising interventions will be specified, trialled and evaluated in selected case areas in the field, using process and outcome evaluation. These insights will help to predict market response and minimise the risk of market failure.
