About
Doroud,
I am Shabnam from Iran. I was born at a rainy night that’s why my parents called me Shabnam means DEW in English. I am in Aalborg now, doing my PhD, as ESR3.
Aalborg is an incredible city full of colorful charming townhomes. I will never forget my first days in Aalborg, I was so excited and felt like I’ve left the real world and stepped into the pages of fairytale storybook. I really like its narrow, cobbled-stone streets which leading up to the impressive Limfjord in the heart of the city. You can always hear the sounds of seagulls there, which at the beginning always remind me of the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull. wWOoOWw PEOPLE hear are super super kind and nice, they have always a smile on their faces and ready to help you, of course if you ask them.
My mission in Limnoplast is to identify and quantify dominant MP emitting sources in the Aarhus area and model its fate. It means, I will determine MP hotspots and use these data in a further step to develop a model which can enable us to accurately estimate annual fluxes downstream of these hotspots.
I am eagerly looking forward to collaborate with other ESRs, which will bring together environmental, technical, and social sciences with the vision to transform a new understanding of freshwater MPs to innovative solutions.
