General Description

The Federal Environment Agency of Germany (UBA) is working as regulatory as well as scientific authority to protect the environmental health focusing on the investigation and assessment of chemicals. The legal framework is a series of regulations related both, to environmental protection strategies, to the environmental compartments air, water and soil, and to branches e.g. those emitting to the environment and to chemicals as potential pollutants including e.g. REACH, Biocide or Plant Protection Act, respectively.

Key Persons and Expertise

Dr. Volker Mohaupt  holds a diploma degree in hydrology and PhD in natural sciences with a strong background in surface water monitoring, assessment and protection. UBA will co-organize the Agency day.
