Dr. Holger Schmalz is senior staff scientist (Akademischer Oberrat) at the University of Bayreuth. He is scientific manager of the keylab “Synthesis and Molecular Characterization” of the Bavarian Polymer Institute (BPI). His research focuses on the self-assembly of block copolymers in bulk and in solution with special interest in crystallization-driven self-assembly, as well as the characterization of mesostructured materials via Raman imaging. He has published more than 100 publications (H-index = 33) in peer-reviewed journals.
