General Description
UGOT (http://www.gu.se) is among the largest universities in Northern Europe (approx. 37,000 students and 6,000 employees). With its eight faculties, UGOT is also the most wide-ranging and versatile university in Sweden. UGOT is an active international university engaged in collaborative projects and partnerships all over the world. In FP7, UGOT participated in approximately 180 projects, both as a coordinator and a partner, and has to date been beneficiary in over 85 projects in H2020. Moreover, UGOT has been involved in approx. 40 MSCA projects of which 12 are MSCA-ITN and hosts 25 ERC researchers. The Dept. of Biology and Environmental Sciences (BioEnv) is home to researchers working in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, on levels from cell and molecular biology, to physiology, to systematics and biodiversity, evolutionary ecology and conservation biology, and interdisciplinary environmental sciences.
